Caroline Porter, née Palmer (1829 - 1915) Caroline was my great-grandmother. She was the youngest daughter of David and Elizabeth Palmer (née Amory). She married John Porter on 2nd July 1854. Their children were:- Fred, Harry, Emma, Louise, Edwin (my grandfather), Rose, Francis, Lily, Kate, John and Alfred. This picture was probably taken in the village hall where she was giving a reading of some of her poetry. It dates from about 1910. |
